PAL Technologies Ltd

Since 2001 PAL Technologies has been providing support from its headquarters in Glasgow to more than 200 institutions worldwide. Many of the researchers and clinicians utilising PAL’s devices are investigating the correlation between physical behaviours and chronic disease to help inform treatment interventions and chronic disease risk. They are currently working with the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Strathclyde to develop free-living, patient-centred gait training tools for deployment at home and in the community.

Founded in 1974, the Prefabricated Access Suppliers’ and Manufacturers’ Association (PASMA), is the recognised focus and authority for mobile access towers. It is currently working with the School of Computing at the University of the West of Scotland to deliver improved and expanded training through the development of a Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) delivery model.
