Codeplay offers industry leading compiler technology IP and development services for a wide range of GPUs and specialised processors. Codeplay technologies arise from more than 10 years of research, development and customer feedback in commercial C/C++, shader and OpenCL compilers. The company have adapted their optimising compiler technology, tools and integrations for a variety of single and heterogeneous multi-core processor systems. Codeplay offers customised technology to support new processors, programming languages, and integration into 3rd party development toolchains. Codeplay’s experience enables them to advise on compiler-friendly instruction sets and processor designs.

As part of our strategic development, Codeplay is embarking on a collaborative programme with the University of the West of Scotland to enhance the international marketing potential, effective service delivery and up-selling capability of the organisation via innovative, technology-driven, service-oriented collaboration with key business partners.

We wish to recruit a post-graduate in Computer Science/Software Engineering/Information Technology or with a relevant degree involving a significant amount of software development. The successful applicant will have industrial experience in a software development environment along with a sound knowledge of programming language C/C++. Experience of test-driven development, agile software development, or technical writing is desirable. Familiarity with the following technologies would also be a significant advantage: image and video processing and codecs; graphics programming; and GPGPU technology, or other hardware acceleration. You should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a high performance team, collaborating with colleagues and sharing expertise. Good project management and organisational skills is essential to the role, as are strong analytical and numerical skills with the ability to understand and process data.
