They specialise in access and examination solutions for areas and environments which are difficult to examine or repair using conventional methods of access (e.g. tunnels, shafts, confined spaces & complex engineering structures). The company are currently looking to expand their business by developing bespoke Image Processing systems for structural monitoring.

Role

This project provides an opportunity to develop state of the art image/signal processing & deep learning algorithms focused on the improvement of structural condition monitoring services in hard to reach & dangerous environments. The aim of the project is to develop a cutting edge industrial system based on state of the art deep learning, signal & image processing systems dealing with a range of data types such as optical & thermal imaging. Data will be captured using a range of methods in a number of challenging environments. It is expected that this project produces high quality research publications throughout. The post includes a generous development budget for training, travel, conference attendance & equipment.
