70 people attended the latest in the KTP Centres in Scotland Seminar Series at the Merchants House in Glasgow on 31 March. The Seminar showcased how organisations can benefit from working with academics and also provided an opportunity for knowledge exchange professionals to share best practice.

KTP Funding Boost for SMEs

The Technology Strategy Board (TSB) has recently announced a funding boost for SMEs undertaking KTP. The increased funding will reduce the company partner's contribution from 33% to 25% for the duration of the incentive period. The incentive period will run between 1 April 2009 and 31 March 2010 and apply to new KTPs and also existing projects that are still running at 1 April 2009.

UK Knowledge Transfer Partnership Awards 2009

Businesses and HEIs from across the UK celebrated a year of outstanding achievements in innovation at the annual UK KTP Awards in London on 5 March 2009.

The awards recognised the most successful KTP partnerships. In total nine partnerships were presented with the Winning Partnership Award, selected from a list of over 204 eligible nominations.
